Los Angeles, CA (August 6, 2026)—ProMedia Training has been named the first U.S. Solid State Logic Professional Training Partner and is now offering certified SSL training for modern DAW mixing workflows.
The new Mixing with SSL program is an intensive training course designed to teach audio engineers SSL’s mixing methodologies and console-inspired workflows as used within today’s DAW-based production environments.
Building on more than 25 years of audio education leadership, ProMedia Training—reportedly the longest-running Avid Pro Tools Certified Training Center in the U.S.—is extending its software certification model to deliver mixing courses for modern DAW users. The program is designed for audio engineers, post-production mixers, and intermediate to advanced users of Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, and other digital audio workstations.
Available as either live online interactive instruction or in-person training in Los Angeles and Miami, with New York and Atlanta courses planned for the future, the small-class-sized program combines hands-on learning, detailed course materials and real-world instruction from experienced educators and Grammy-winning engineers.

The 16-hour course is delivered across four live-online sessions and provides students with one year of complimentary access to more than 100 SSL and Slate Digital plugins and 50+ hours of exclusive SSL supplemental tutorial videos allowing participants to apply SSL mixing concepts within their existing production environments, even without access to a large-format SSL console.
While the curriculum is centered on professional in-the-box mixing using SSL plug-ins, select in-person courses will also incorporate hands-on training with large-format SSL consoles to demonstrate how classic console workflows translate to today’s DAW-based production environments.

The curriculum covers the core principles and advanced techniques used by professional mix engineers that have evolved alongside SSL console signal flow and architecture. Additional modules explore stereo imaging, spatial audio production, SSL Native plugins, and commercial release standards for streaming, broadcast, and physical media distribution.
The first live online Certified SSL Training for Professional DAW Mixing course will be held September 19, 20, 26 and 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PDT). Prerequisites include proficiency in Pro Tools or another professional DAW. Completion of ProMedia Training’s Pro Tools 101/110 coursework also satisfies this requirement.
