Skanderborg, Denmark (July 7, 2025)—Danish studio monitor manufacturer Dynaudio has released a new firmware update— version 1.1—for its Core reference series. The free update is said to enhance low-frequency response provided by the speakers, resulting in greater depth and accuracy in studio monitoring.
This update introduces a subtle lift in the low-frequency range, specifically providing a slight boost around the port tuning and baffle step, which the manufacturer says should result in improved depth, clarity, and precision for critical listening environments.

The new V1.1 firmware update affects the Core 7, 47, 49 and Sub models, and will also provide closer alignment with Dynaudio’s latest models—Core 5 and Core Sub Compact. Dynaudio recommends that all Core models in a system be updated to the latest firmware in order to help maintain consistent level balance and performance across multi-speaker setups.

Additionally, Dynaudio notes that the Firmware 1.1 includes updated gain structures not reflected in the existing SPL switch values on the monitors’ rear panels. As a result, the company is offering free rear panel stickers that clearly indicate the revised input sensitivity, which can be obtained here. Meanwhile, the update itself can be downloaded for free at the company’s website.
